Update to Standing Rules

Our chapter Standing Rules have been amended to expand the scope of eligibility for the Schooling Award.

Previously, the Schooling Award was for only Intro and Training levels, and only for amateurs and junior riders.
We have recently approved the expansion of the Schooling Show Award to include Intro through 4th levels and an Open rider division.

Please see the SBC CDS Awards Standing Rules document for more details!

SBC CDS Year End Banquet – Save the Date!

SBC CDS Members and Friends:

Your chapter is pleased to announce our year end banquet details.

This year, to celebrate our two successful shows, we will be breaking from out potluck tradition to offer you a lovely dinner and evening of fun. Your board has chosen a restaurant at the Santa Barbara Golf Course, Mulligans, which offers indoor and patio seating. It’s a bright, open space surrounded by French doors looking out at the golf course. Dinner will be buffet style with a choice of entrees, including a vegetarian option. We are asking for a flat $10 donation for members and non-members to attend. The chapter will subsidize the remainder of funds needed.

SBC CDS Year End Banquet
Sunday, November 19th 2017
4:00 pm-7pm
Mulligan’s Café at the Santa Barbara Golf Course
3500 McCaw Rd.
Santa Barbara, CA 93105

We will have our customary silent auction and raffle with beautiful baskets created by Laura Kranzler. Laura has been working hard all year accepting generous donations from our members and the community for fun and useful items for her baskets. If anyone has something they’d like to donate, lunch/dinner gift certificates, romantic Santa Ynez Valley get-a-ways, wine, live theatre tickets, any kind of service, etc. (the possibilities are endless!) please contact Laura at dankranzler@cox.net.

Awards will be presented to our chapter’s riders earning top scores. Send in your two highest scores for consideration along with documentation of them to Suzanne Galsterer at SSG5@cox.net by Nov. 1. Please indicate if you are applying for the Schooling Show Award or the Recognized Show Award. See our attached Standing Rules on awards (revised 10/24/17) for more information.

We will have our Adult Amateur Clinic drawing at this event. Please see our Standing Rules on qualifying for this clinic for more information. New board members will be voted in for the 2018 year. Are you interested in being on the board? It’s great way to meet fellow riders and continue to improve our chapter!

Please mark your calendars. RSVPs will be mandatory so we can give the restaurant an accurate head count for food and seating. You can RSVP to Laura Langford at: lauralangford58@gmail.com or (626) 260-4612. Please let us know how many will be in your party.

Looking forward to a great banquet this year!
