We are the Santa Barbara County Chapter of California Dressage Society.
The purpose of SBC-CDS is to bolster interest in and understanding of Dressage -
the gradual harmonious development of a horse’s physical and mental wellbeing.
The Chapter’s program is educational and is designed primarily to support members in progressing themselves and their horses.

There are lots of reasons to join the California Dressage Society! Most members are active competitors, but even if you are not, we offer educational and social events too, not to mention your membership dues help to support the whole sport!

The California Dressage Society fosters education through clinics and lectures, competition through a wide variety of shows and awards programs, insurance for our events, and charitable contributions to important organizations in our interest.
Your membership entitles you to participate in the Horse of the Year Competition, Junior/Young Rider Championships, Regional Adult Amateur Competitions, educational activities, and seminars. You will also receive a variety of publications, such as "Dressage Letters", the CDS monthly news magazine and the CDS Omnibus.
